Chicana and Chicano Studies Minor Requirements (15 Units)

The basics for the minor are you may take any five classes (15 units) in CHIC. Please keep in mind the following:

  • At least three (9 units) of the five classes (15 units) that you take must be upper-division (300 level and above)
  • At least three (9 units) of the five classes (15 units) have to be CSUF courses
  • If you are in a major that uses CHIC classes for an emphasis or option--you cannot double count those courses for your major and minor with CHIC
  • You can double-count GE courses for your minor up to 9 units
